 Saturday, 14 May 2022,

Booked in by phone last night, for 2 nights (Sat & Sunday) into Urana Caravan Park.

Headed off towards Urana, about 7:30am, the town was foggy. Got a block down the road then realized that I didn't have any pics of the town or pub where I stayed. Went back, 2 cars passed from the Urana direction, one lady waved. (Friendly folk here, or maybe she was one of the ladies at the pub last night, where I played with the piano for a bit?) Got my photos,

then headed off again. The other car that had passed me going the other direction had forgotten something, or finished dropping something off & was itself now turned and was now going back the way it had come too.  The driver, Phil Shears, stopped and seeing me pulling a trolley and wandering back and forth, asked if i was looking for an address? I told him what had happened, and he pointed me to where he lived (with the red shipping container)

.

and I learned he was planning to have a come-back of his old band from the coast, called Lost Souls (but with less male egos in it), with an albumn called "Back from the dead". We yacked for a bit, shook hands, introduced ourselves, and with a smile, & headed off into the day.

Rang/texted back some missed calls from yesterday.

About 3pm, coming to the end of the shortcut "Doctor's Road", then turn right on the bitumen. They were right about less traffic. Not one vehicle, in the misty rain.

Arrived in Urana.

The road right after the bridge, that Google told me to go on, seems not to exist. Too tired to explore. Bought a few provisions at the Takeaway, the  only shop open other than the pub. They had a piano (but it is very out of tune… did one tune on it,).

Walked the further kilometer to the Caravan park, where the (fill in) caretaker lady looked up and said "Paul?". A lovely cabin, for two nights, with a rest day in between.

A chat with my lady on the phone, and put on an audio book she and I are listening to. The pie i had at the takeaway will have to do for dinner. Added some raisin toast, and had an early night.

Rats! Seem to have lost my glasses.
